It is a free kite event with NO budget and is NOT being advertised to the general public.
Wind Wolves is returning to Liberty State Park with a low stress kite event geared for kiteflier enthusiasts who enjoy and appreciate this beautiful park and its iconic views of Ellis Island, the New York City Skyline, and of course Lady Liberty herself. This park is known for the amazingly smooth wind coming directly off the Hudson Bay which meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Additionally, this kite party is intended to help establish ongoing kite events both large and small at Liberty State Park in the future.
For logistics, safety, field set up, and planning purposes, we ask for the following information in advance if you plan to attend and to fly any kites:

Date: October 5th and 6th - Fly Time: Noon to 5 pm
Locations of fields will updated here when we have completed flier and kite count.
Please follow all the rules and restrictions of the park.
Absolutely no Manja kite lines or kite fighting allowed at any time.
No parking or driving on the grass.
Note: This kite event is not a scripted show or a competition as in the past.
The main purpose is to have a good time and perhaps rekindle friendships with other kitefliers and old friends.
Depending on the registration count of kiteflier numbers and kites:
A kite field for both sport and stunt kite performances with a sound system will be available.
A field for large and inflatable kites will be available as well as a field for art and stick kites.
